- HB 1595 (author, Representative Lehe) Regulation of naturopathic physicians. Provides for licensure of practitioners of naturopathic medicine. On January 23, 2017 the bill was introduced, read, and referred to the Committee on Public Health.
- SB 508 (author, Senator Niezgodski) Regulation of naturopathic physicians. Provides for licensure of practitioners of naturopathic medicine; On January 17, 2017 the bill was introduced, read, and referred to the Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology.
- Both bills died in committee (i.e. were not even heard).
- HB 1427 (author, Representative Lehe) to amend the Indiana Code (IC) concerning professions and occupations and add an article providing for the licensure of practitioners of naturopathic medicine. On January 16, 2018 the bill was introduced, was read, was referred to the Committee on Public Health.
- SB 175 (author, Senator Niezgodski) urged the legislative council to assign to an interim study committee the task of studying issues related to the creation of a license to practice naturopathic medicine in Indiana. On January 8, 2018 the bill was introduced, read, and referred to the Committee on Health and Provider Services.
- Both bills died in committee (i.e. were not even heard).
- Some of the legislators who have expressed their support for licensure of naturopathic doctors are: Senator David Niezgodski (D), Senate District 10, Senator Robin Shackleford (D)- Senate District 29, Senator Mark Stoops (D)- Senate District 40, Representative Bob Behning (R)- House District 91, Representative Carey Hamilton (D)- House District 87, Representative Don Lehe (R), House District 25, Steve Davisson (R)- House District 73.
- SB 291 (author, Senator Niezgodski) requesting a study committee to explore licensure, was introduced on January 7, 2019 and sent to the Senate Committee on Health and Provider Services.
- SB 515 (author, Senator Niezgodski) providing for licensure of naturopathic physicians, was introduced on January 14, 2019 and sent to the Senate Committee on Health and Provider Services.
- HB 1633 (author, Representative Lehe) providing for licensure of naturopathic physicians, was introduced on January 24, 2019 and was sent to the House Committee on Public Health.
- HB 1657 (author, Representative Zent) providing for licensure of naturopathic physicians, was introduced on January 24, 2019 and was sent to the House Committee on Public Health.
- All bills died in committee.
